Application Information

The foundation prioritizes long-term funding relationships with existing grantees, and is only accepting applications for organizations funded in the previous fiscal year.

Organizations are considered by invitation only.

SF Bay Area only: Grant renewal invitations will be emailed in mid-February 2023. Only applicants who received funding from the foundation in June 2022 will be considered for the June 2023 cycle. The submission window for invited applicants opens in February and closes Wednesday, March 9th, end of business day.

We Support

The foundation makes grants to exempt nonprofit and public organizations based in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties in California, and in the state of Oregon in the following program areas:

  • Academic and artistic enrichment for children and young adults
  • Support services for the disabled
  • Food, shelter, and counseling services for families in need and disadvantaged individuals
